Delete your Book For Look account

This page explains how to delete your account for Book For Look: Beauty & Care and what happens to your data when you do.

Delete your account in the app

Open Book For Look: Beauty & Care and sign in.
Go to the Profile tab.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Read the summary, then tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. You are signed out on every device and cannot sign in again with that account.

If you can't use the app

Email support@bookforlook.com from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before deleting anything.

Before you delete

Deletion is blocked while any of these are true, so that nobody is left stranded mid-appointment:

You have upcoming or in-progress bookings. Cancel or complete them first.
You have upcoming appointments assigned to you as a staff member. Contact the business first.
Your account manages a business. Contact support to close the business first.

What is deleted

These are erased or irreversibly anonymised straight away:

Your name, phone number and email address
Your password
Your gender, date of birth and profile photo
Photos you uploaded, including review photos and support attachments
All sign-in sessions and notification tokens for your devices, so no further notifications are sent

Your phone number is released at the same time, so you can sign up again later with the same number if you want to.

What is kept

Records of past activity remain, but they no longer identify you — your name is replaced with “Deleted user” and your contact details are gone:

Completed and cancelled bookings. These are also the business's own records, and removing them would alter their history and earnings.
Reviews you wrote. These stay published, attributed to “Deleted user”, so other customers keep the ratings they rely on.
Payment and transaction records, retained to meet accounting and tax obligations.

Anonymised records are kept for as long as the business needs them for its own accounting and legal obligations. They cannot be linked back to you once your account is deleted.
